Man Pleads Guilty to Aggravated Assault of Hopatcong Woman

A Landing man has pled guilty to third-degree aggravated assault after allegedly causing serious injury to a Hopatcong woman he stole money from. According to the New Jersey Herald, Maurice Goodgame Jr. admitted that he and his girlfriend, Taylor Linke-Dennis, went to a home on River Styx Road to get money he thought was owed to him.

The 24-year-old reportedly entered the home alone and found $1,500 in the victim's room. As Goodgame and Link-Dennis allegedly fled, the victim jumped partially into the car. The unidentified woman reportedly fell out of the car and was dragged for about 20 feet, sustaining serious injuries to her legs and buttocks.

Goodgame is facing four years in state prison as part of a plea deal.
